About Southwest Diagnostic Imaging
At Southwest Diagnostic Imaging Center, the way you see us is just as important as the way we see you. That is saying a lot for a diagnostic imaging center - and it applies to everyone who works here, from our technologists, nurses, and office personnel, to our management and administrative staff. Our goals are to facilitate the needs of physicians and healthcare providers, and provide every patient with the best possible degree of care. Providing the highest standards of service and a patient-centered approach, we have led North Texas in diagnostic imaging and health screening since 1985, serving thousands of patients from the Dallas area and across the nation.
Located in a spacious 25,000 square foot facility on the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas campus, Southwest Diagnostic Imaging Center is one of the largest freestanding imaging centers in the area. By offering the latest technologies and more imaging equipment than most of our competitors, we can help patients schedule appointments sooner with shorter wait times, and give physicians the opportunity to request same day add-ons. Our state-of-the-art equipment includes four Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines, including the new GE Signa EXCITE HDx 3.0T and three high field 1.5 Tesla Units, one of which is an open bore MRI machine; two Computed Tomography (CT) scanners, allowing spiral or helical scanning; a Bone Densitometer (DEXA); and a full range of Ultrasound (Sonography), Radiology, Fluoroscopy, and Digital Mammography (breast screening).
Even the highest quality equipment is powerless without the support of a qualified staff and technical team. Boasting more than 240 highly skilled healthcare professionals, our radiology services are provided by two esteemed associations of licensed radiologists - one specializing in general radiology and the other in neuroradiology. These radiologists are engaged in the private practice of medicine and work as independent contractors rather than employees, agents, or servants of Southwest Diagnostic Imaging Center.
Southwest Diagnostic Imaging Center is independently managed and serves individual patients as well as private medical practices, insurance companies, and over 75 managed care companies, including Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Preferred Provider Organizations (PPOs), Point Of Service (POSs), Medicare, and Medicaid.
