The Challenges of Pediatric Imaging

Some children do remarkably well when they must undergo CT scans or MRIs, while others become a bit nervous. If your child’s doctor has recommended an imaging scan, ask him or her how you can best explain the test to your child. There are a few unique challenges concerning pediatric imaging; here’s a look at a few of them and what you can do to help: Minimizing Anxiety If your child is young or shy, he may feel anxiety before a CT scan or other test.
